Germanwings Seat Maps

For some time, I have been studying seating configurations of airlines due to a research study. When I visited web site of Germanwings a couple of minutes ago, I noticed that their seat plans are wrong compared to the given aircraft data. Here is their web page address.

  • For A319 aircraft, the number of seats is given as 144/150. If you look at the seat map 144 seats is okay. Then where is the 150 seat configuration.
  • For A320 aircraft, the number of seats is given as 174. Now, count the seating rows on the given seating layout. There are 27 rows. Consider that all the rows are 6 abreast. Then 6 x 27 = 162. Where are the missing 12 seats?
  • Finally, CRJ900 NextGen data is correct.
Germanwings is a popular airline. I do not understand how they do such mistakes on their web sites. Hope, this kind of data is correct on their booking system.
